Spike Anderson, Chairman
Spike Anderson has over thirty-five years of experience in sales, marketing,
packaging, advertising and private label program development. Spike graduated
from Central Washington State University with a degree in Business Administration
in 1967 after serving with the U.S. Army Special Forces in Vietnam. After
working for a year, he started his own Rep firm in 1969, which developed
into one of the largest and most successful firms on the West Coast. In
1975 he sold that company and founded Monotherm Industries, Inc., an insulation
manufacturing company where he was President and CEO until it merged with
a competitor in 1981. From 1981 to 1987 he sold Industrial Chemicals in
Washington, and was always the company’s top producer. In 1988, Spike
joined the “In-House” Rep/Broker group at Costco, and by 1994
had become a 50% owner and President of Anderson Chamberlin, Inc. He sold
his interest in mid 1998 to Ken Chamberlin, but continued to bring products
and programs to Costco. In Feb 2005, Spike reacquired the company and by
the end of 2005, had consolidated Anderson Chamberlin with Daymon Worldwide
to form a new joint venture called Anderson Daymon Worldwide, LLC. As of
Jan 1, 2006, he heads the company which employs over 200 people
in 11 offices worldwide and is Costco’s largest supplier of goods
and services.
