Alastair Bennie, Regional Manager, Bay Area
Alastair Bennie (BA 1992) joined Anderson Chamberlin (ACI) in 1998 after a Business management position writing formula protein deals with a Canadian Nationally branded commodity protein manufacturer for their Canadian retail and foodservice customer base in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Having worked in the foods industry since 1983 in many different capacities has given a level of insight into the foodservice and retail business for the vendors that ACI represented for Costco Wholesale. In 2001 Costco Wholesale consolidated their non-foods and fresh business in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Successfully developing the Western Canadian marketplace for ACI, Alastair was given the responsibility to drive the Eastern Canadian Foods business in Ottawa. In 2003 Alastair was promoted to Canadian National business Manager and in 2004 to Regional Manager Eastern Canada and in 2005 to Non-Foods Manager Canada along with his RM position in foods. In April of 2007 Alastair was given the opportunity to relocate to San Francisco, California to head up the Northern Californian business for Anderson Daymon in the position of Regional Manager. Alastair brings to the business an International exposure of importing / exporting of value added foods and non foods and now has been given the opportunity to learn the domestic US business. Alastair is one of only a few people in Anderson Daymon that has had exposure to every part of ADW's worldwide business and as such will prove to be beneficial in driving the business for ADW's vendors in Northern California. |
